My family and I live in Tennessee; we've been here since December, 1999. We used to live in Los Angeles Ca., but my wife wanted to move to Tn. since her family was there. And not to mention, she was born there. We also agreed to relocate the family because LA was too fast paste and TN seemed to be a better place to raise our children. At the time we only had two children and they were four and five years old. Now our kids are 12(boy) 11(girl) and 7(girl).
I had found a good job and was pretty much secure, my wife decided to go back to college to get her degree, the kids were OK; everything was good. All was great up until just recently. I lost my job or as others would say, "GOT LAID OFF". What a bomber. "What must I do now?", I started to think. Is there help out there? Well, my unemployment's only giving me $275.00 a week. I went to my renters office and showed them my lay off papers and my papers from the Hamilton County Federal Human Services Office. I did this thinking they would lower my rent under the circumstances but they didn't. So, I'm trying to somehow gather up $550.00 a month for my rent, pay my electric and gas bill. In addition, I've got to have money to put gas in the car, my kids need new clothes, etc. and not to mention other miscellaneous things a family of five usually needs.
I have been laid off since Thanksgiving 2008 and have been looking for work every since. There's nothing out there! My wife is two months away from getting her Associates Degree in Political Science and she's worried because it will cost an arm and a leg if she wants to continue for her BS.
I'm trying to be strong and hope for the best, but sometimes I get angry and frustrated. However, when I look at my kids, I smile and try to move on. Believe me,everyone has the same story, but nowhere to turn for help. The so called "agencies" don't even have jobs to offer.
Now, although I didn't want to do this because I know there are other's with a familiar story, I've decided to ask my fellow citizens for help. Is there anyone out there who can afford to help my family and I out ? Any amount of money will help us out a great bit. If you feel it in your heart to even send a dollar , that let's us know that our situation has touched your heart. We want to thank you in advance. Now, once we regain our financial stability, we desire to help someone else who's in need. Let's start our own help chain, no one else is going to do!

Feel free to contact us at : smgaoa@gmail.com or smgaoa@juno.com

smgaoa@juno.com
